1. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of personal time
2. Leaving work on time
3. Communication and coordination among colleagues are fairly smooth
1. The CEO and business director are unable to lead the business team in doing what a business team should do
2. The R&D manager keeps asking the PM to do what the business director should be doing
3. The IT department has become obsessed with following the ISO 27001 process
4. The software produced has no quality and cannot be controlled
5. The boss likes seeing people still at their desks after 7 p.m., but simply does not pay overtime (a typical exploitative-boss mentality)
6. So far, one PM, one RD, and four QEs have left—all people in important positions. Senior management does not seem concerned at all that more people may leave as a result of this situation; it feels as though they are just letting the company collapse.
Overall, this company is suitable for coasting toward retirement. It is very lenient in the way it handles people, and there are a lot of unsuitable people sitting in their positions. At the company-wide meeting at the beginning of the year, the boss even said that Foxconn is a “fox company.” Considering the difference in scale, those of you reading this should be able to judge the true situation of this company, right?
