Pros

You can come here if you want to coast toward retirement, but orders have now decreased significantly, so you may need to think about whether you can continue coasting.

Each department has its own problems; no department is particularly good, so there is no need to make deliberate comparisons.

Many older employees are waiting to retire, but there are no newcomers.

Many colleagues are related to one another... Basically, they really like people who are good at dealing with others.

Cons

1. Older colleagues are not used to using email for notifications, resulting in a confusing process.

2. Work orders are often “take your time, but we need it urgently,” and the deadline is not clearly communicated in advance.

(The order usually has an “urgent order” stamp, but no one tells you when it is due. They stamp it first to make you rush to get things out.)

3. Failure to deliver on time can easily lead to scolding, and supervisors usually do not understand the actual situation.

(The shipping time may be changed temporarily, but no email will be sent to inform you. Afterwards, the sales staff may use threats, saying that the inspector responsible for this vendor will be replaced. Your own supervisor is usually inclined to avoid conflict and is relatively passive, so you should be mentally prepared.)

4. Salaries are paid in two installments (on the 5th and 20th). It is unclear whether this will be proactively explained during the interview.

5. The meal allowance is NT$80. There are few nearby restaurants, so people usually order meals or eat the company-provided boxed meals.

6. The lunch break is only 40 minutes.

7. There is no backup person during leave; after taking leave, you have to make up your own work.

8. Employee trips require using annual leave; no additional leave is provided.

9. Work instructions are mainly given through LINE groups, while formal email is rarely used.

10. HR pays excessive attention to the use of toilet paper in the women’s restroom.

11. There are no uniforms in winter, so you can only wear your own coat; business trips still require you to wear company clothing.

12. Vests must also be purchased at your own expense, and coats are not provided.

13. Promotion opportunities are scarce and are mostly based on seniority or internal connections rather than ability.

(The main reason is also that many people are related to one another, so outsiders do not get a chance. If you have a friend who actually joins, they can observe this for themselves.)

14. Gender-unfriendly behavior exists in the workplace. Some colleagues are hostile toward sexual minorities, such as gay people. Those who care about gender equality should pay particular attention.
