Finish the work and leave early.
Traditional master-apprentice system. The company isn't large and is divided into two groups of people.
The leader of one group is very old and has somewhat faulty logic. He remembers everything you say starting from the interview, then embellishes it and fills in the blanks with his own assumptions. When you're still new and unfamiliar with the work, he uses those imagined versions of what you said to mock you.
For example: “If you want to make money and earn a high salary, you need to show it. Go talk to the boss about a raise. You said your previous job couldn't give you a raise—that's a problem with your abilities.”
I almost died laughing when I heard that. It's a company of 500 people, but he made it sound as if you could just go talk to the boss about a raise anytime, and as if he had been standing next to me back then and knew what my abilities were. 😂
Later, I asked around about other people's salaries and heard that people who joined two years ago started at salaries that were NT$2,000 lower than mine when I first joined. It was basically the kind of low, entry-level salary with lots of zeros. I thought, “What could you even ask for a raise from this lousy company for?” 😂 They don't even provide a lunch allowance—you pay for your own lunch. 😂
You also often have to travel for work, for example to Taoyuan. The dormitory is filthy and never cleaned. The scariest part is that some coworkers don't even bring bedsheets, so everyone just takes turns sleeping on mattresses without bedsheets. 🤮
