Pros

The interview was fairly okay. The front desk brought you tea, and then there was an interview with the supervisor. Before the interview, you had to take a personality test, probably around 20 questions.

The interview mainly asked about your previous sales experience. You basically answered by describing your previous industry and what you did. Then the supervisor added you on LINE, so you could ask any questions. The advantage is that it was relaxed, and offering the interviewee tea felt respectful.

Cons

Disadvantages of interviewing for the sales position: The job bank listed the salary as NT$38,000–45,000, but the offer I received was NT$37,000. What a question mark. I had already said my expected salary was NT$40,000—how could I possibly accept a salary lower than what I’m making now?

It was truly a waste of time. They even invited me a second time to look at the laboratory and see whether I could tolerate the smell (from electroplated screws). Breathing in too much of it would surely be harmful to your health; even a doctor’s visit might not be enough. It was really a complete waste of time. If your company cannot afford the salary range listed on the job bank, could you please correct it?

If I could send screenshots of the chat history here, I definitely would. Also, perhaps because they couldn’t afford the salary I wanted, they asked several questions about salary and performance evaluations but didn’t dare answer them. Then the next day they told me—was it because I hadn’t confirmed that I would join and they were upset?—that they would contact the other candidates in line as replacements. If the replacement interviewees are willing to come, everyone, don’t be too submissive... It’s your submissiveness that has spoiled so many exploitative bosses. Luckily, I didn’t go. They really deserved to be rejected. No wonder they didn’t dare tell me the salary through the job bank’s messaging system and instead relayed it through the supervisor on LINE. Everyone, this kind of company probably won’t increase the salary much even after three months; they’re definitely stingy. Those planning to interview should take note. Take this as a warning: don’t go. It’s a waste of time.
