The interview was pretty okay. The front desk staff brought you tea, and then there was an interview with the supervisor. Before the interview, you also filled out a personality test—about 20 questions, I think.
The interview mainly asked about your previous sales experience. You generally just explained your previous industry and what you did. Then the supervisor added you on LINE, so you could ask any questions. The advantage was that it was relaxed, and providing tea to the interviewee felt respectful.
Cons of interviewing for the sales position: The job bank listed the salary as NT$38,000–45,000, but the offer they gave me was NT$37,000. I was completely confused—I had already said my expectation was NT$40,000. Why would I accept a salary lower than what I’m making now?
It was truly a waste of time. They even invited me a second time to tour the laboratory and see whether I could accept the smell (from electroplated screws). Inhaling too much of it would definitely be harmful to your health; even the money for a doctor might not be enough. It was seriously such a waste of time. If your company cannot afford the salary range listed on the job bank, could you please update it?
If I could send screenshots of the chat history here, I definitely would. By the way, they may not have been able to afford the salary I wanted. I asked some questions about salary and performance evaluations, but they didn’t dare answer. Then the next day they told me that I hadn’t confirmed my employment and that they had moved on to other candidates on the waiting list. HR sent offers to those candidates, and the replacement interviewees were willing to come. Everyone, don’t be too submissive… It’s your submissiveness that spoils so many exploitative bosses. Fortunately, I didn’t go there. They really deserved to be rejected. No wonder they didn’t dare tell me the salary through the job bank’s messaging system and instead communicated it through the supervisor’s LINE account. Everyone, please note that a company like this probably won’t raise your salary much even after three months. They’re definitely stingy. Anyone going to interview should take note. Consider this a warning: don’t go there—it’s a waste of time.
