A standard Taiwanese traditional employer: a family business where the next generation only knows how to be the boss. The boss feeds you empty promises every day, making the company sound like some grand, promising international conglomerate, emphasizing its strong political and business connections and claiming that it relies on those connections to win projects, etc. In reality, though, it is simply a company that expects you to endure everything for the sake of the nation. Its company policies and benefits, such as travel expense reimbursements, still follow the same outdated cost standards as the Accounting and Statistics Office. Newcomers without connections or a powerful background are advised to think carefully—after all, you really would be going there to perform a good deed.
