Pros: Birthday leave
HR and General Affairs Manager highlights: She allowed her favorite employee, who had secretly opened a colleague’s locker and stolen money, to return to work, giving him a chance to continue stealing money in other ways. She is adept at arbitrarily smearing others, using extremely long emails to accuse subordinates of failing to follow principles she supposedly stated on a specific date several years ago. Her writing makes it seem as though it really happened, but after checking the records, it was proven that she had never said those things. She also deliberately ignores colleagues’ work成果, personally approving more than a hundred electronic forms while claiming that the colleagues had done nothing.

Last year, after an inspection by the Labor Bureau, the clock-in system finally began recording accurate start and end times. Whether employees can actually apply for overtime pay is another matter. Gift boxes are given for the three major holidays; there is no employee trip.

The year-end party venue is no longer the consistently terrible restaurant, because there is now no restaurant meal at all.

Company Day (treated as the year-end party), planned by the HR and General Affairs Manager, had employees split into teams for a large-scale running scavenger hunt through two nearby neighborhoods. Prizes were distributed according to ranking. The organizers did not communicate with the community beforehand. Employees running checkpoints in quiet fire lanes were cursed at by residents, the neighborhood warden showed up and reported it, and the deputy station chief personally intervened. After the run, everyone gathered for the rankings, received two meal vouchers, returned to their seats, and waited until clocking out. A very special Company Day (treated as the year-end party).

The situation in which senior management works together to deceive the biggest boss remains unchanged; forming cliques for personal gain and attacking those outside the faction are still part of everyday life. The company’s foundation remains, but if senior management is not replaced, its foundations will soon be shaken. There are still talented, virtuous, and kind colleagues, but quite a few good people have left since 2025.

Oh, and be sure to keep an eye on your valuables at work.
