There are benefits beyond physical and mental health.
Basically, I have seen too many colleagues around me work until they became ill. Aside from frontline roles, even the back-office work environment is extremely hostile.
Verbal abuse from section chiefs, barriers and divisions between departments, and working overtime until nearly midnight just to adjust the size of cells in an Excel spreadsheet.
Being given a hard time when requesting leave, being emotionally manipulated even after passing the probationary period, having the time spent in the restroom monitored, and having submitted documents marked with red corrections and Xs (?).
CTBC looks glamorous from the outside, but internally, many employees are suffering psychologically...
