Benefits and bonuses: Annual company trip (except during the pandemic), bonuses for the three major festivals, year-end bonus, and a NT$1,000 birthday gift.
Work environment: The office has attractive new decor (Kubrick bear figures and artwork), plus bidets.
Breaks and flexibility: A 1.5-hour lunch break and one work-from-home day per month (cancelled if there is a long weekend that month).
Additional benefits: Occasional group meals, afternoon tea, and restocking of the snack area.
Excellent manager: The manager is capable and personable.
Work pressure: There are often additional tasks, which is unfriendly to “J-type personalities”; when the boss has urgent requests, they closely monitor progress.
Boss’s management style: In this small company, decisions are primarily made by the boss. Assignments are often unclear, and completed work may easily be rejected and require repeated revisions.
Environment and equipment: The air-conditioning temperature is unstable, the lighting setup may affect vision, and a cleaning service comes only once every one or two months; those with strong cleanliness concerns should take note.
Additional chores: Employees must take turns serving as the person on duty to take out the trash.
Employee expectations vs. reality: The boss makes grand promises. The company originally emphasized a flexible work culture, but in reality, working from home is limited to one day per month.
