宜大科技股份有限公司
Pros

Friendly colleagues, unlimited house-brand snacks, and close to City Hall Station with plenty of shopping nearby 👌🏻

Cons

This company changed its name to Bei x Fu x in recent years and sells e-commerce snacks. Before joining, I thought it was a highly idealistic startup. After joining, I discovered that deep down, it is still a traditional Taiwanese company. Everything below was something I dreamed about; any resemblance is purely fictional.

【Bosses】

- The bosses are three siblings who disagree about the brand philosophy and all kinds of big and small matters. They are sometimes out of sync, and opinions keep changing, so there is never a final decision.

- Two of the bosses probably appear in my dreams fewer than 10 times a year. Who is actually in charge of the company? I have no idea.

- They have great faith in an advertising design company called Si x, even though the design files they provide have incorrect layers and their proposals are all copied from the internet. Who is the client and who is the vendor? I got a little confused in my dreams. They would rather trust outsiders than the employees they hired themselves.

【Managers】

- They do not respect professional expertise (design, IP licensing, and production lines).

· Design: Every design has to be approved by the manager, with no sense of aesthetics whatsoever. Even after the final artwork is completed, they keep changing it back and forth, treating designers like graphic production staff.

· IP licensing: IP characters all have guidelines for authorized use, but the manager treats them like garbage and has even wanted to bypass the communication window and take them to sell recklessly.

· Factory production lines: Because sales-volume estimates are basically just estimates for the sake of estimating, they often suddenly demand large quantities of goods, completely ignoring the factory’s situation. There is no room or time for communication, and information often does not circulate, so everyone has to use psychic powers.

- Managers do not take responsibility and only push employees into the line of fire. They are also very rude when speaking, with messages consisting of only a few short words. Employees have to use psychic powers every day while the managers stay busy with office politics and targeting employees, seemingly afraid that you might affect their position.

- They love firing people and treat employees as disposable chopsticks: once they are no longer needed, they are fired. I dreamed that the company had posted openings on 104 again.

- There is a completely incompetent consultant who gets by on nothing but glib talk. He has verbally harassed employees, undermined people behind their backs, and loves to use PUA tactics on employees. If you are not mentally strong enough, you will be led astray and fall into self-doubt.

- I dreamed that senior management wanted employees to compete with one another and sow discord.

- Sales forecasts are made for no reason, and production capacity cannot keep up. Otherwise, they estimate an enormous quantity at once, leaving a pile of near-expiry products to clear out. During the year-end inventory count, another pile of goods and activity giveaways left to rot will suddenly appear, and PMs are forced to come up with campaigns to get rid of them.

- Taking leave is extremely difficult; managers emotionally blackmail employees, but I often cannot even dream of finding the manager.

- To work overtime, you have to use psychic powers to notify your manager two hours in advance that you will be working late that day. If an urgent task comes in and you apply for overtime afterward, they will question you, until eventually you do not even want to mention overtime anymore.

- They always wait until the deadline is about to kill everyone before making a decision, then ask why the schedule was arranged this way, pushing the launch date back.

- Project proposals are never good enough for them. When asked to give examples, they cannot come up with any. Once you finally write a good proposal, they take the credit and do not include your name, directly sending screenshots or the file to the boss. (The same goes for project-completion numerical analyses.)

【Company Environment】

- Feng shui objects are everywhere in the company. They update their power every year, apparently. They would rather spend a great deal of money hiring a feng shui master than improve employee benefits. Even after the feng shui inspection, performance did not seem any better.

- There is only one restroom, and the line can take half an hour.

- Because they strongly believe in feng shui, one day I arrived at work and found salt and rice sprinkled on my desk (not everyone had this happen). You also cannot casually switch seats because everyone’s seating has been arranged based on employee birth data. Seats are periodically reshuffled in a major rearrangement (I dreamed this happened three times within one year).

【Employee Benefits】

- The year-end party details come out very late, and the date is even changed to a worse venue. I did not find out there was a bubble tea museum until the year-end party itself.

- The year-end bonus is not fixed, and they will even tell you that it comes out of the boss’s own pocket and that you should be grateful. (I dreamed last year’s average was 0.3 months’ salary.)

- The bonus system is only for show. They set the annual targets extremely high, so you never dream of reaching them—and you never dream of finding out how much the company actually earned.

- Because the estimated quantity of combination packs for an event group was too high, all employees had to go to the warehouse together to unpack the products. It took two full days (does having a schedule count as a benefit?). I dreamed this happened three times.

Because I have benefited from the all-seeing eye several times, I have done my best to record these dreams. I hope none of you dream about the same things.
