Cons

1. The old female owner tightly controls power, has a strong desire for control, and has an impatient, manic-depressive personality. She always interrupts employees’ current work; anything she is handling is the most urgent, most important, and highest-priority matter. There is no work prioritization. Anyone who argues back will be publicly humiliated, and she privately badmouths them to employees everywhere. She particularly favors blindly following religious beliefs and burns non-environmentally friendly spirit money every morning. The company has not made money after burning it for several years and loses money every year, while also being involved in lawsuits. She always believes what people outside say, while employees’ advice is treated as worthless, making it easy for outsiders to cheat them out of their money and exhausting and squeezing their own employees dry. She is polite to employees on the surface, but privately likes to speak ill of them and even fabricates things to ruin others’ reputations. Every client partnership is a one-off because she only knows how to use her sales pitch to deceive the other party by claiming that she does charity work, does not make money, and only gains health benefits, when in fact she wants the other party to pay for the investment; she is so stingy that she will not contribute even a penny herself. She always dreams of making money in mainland China, but has nothing to show for it, and there is no visible progress on any factory/company established there. She relies entirely on so-called connections she only talks about to do things for her, but the results are zero. She flies to mainland China every month and essentially uses the company’s earnings to play around; there is no sign that she has built anything there. She says that the money previously lost in mainland China and Taiwan should be earned back through this mainland-China dream??? She especially loves contract handwork. She thinks handwork can make money immediately, so having all employees do handwork means making big money; operations, marketing, design, sales, and so on are considered unimportant and can be put aside. She always thinks her son works the hardest because he works at the company using a computer, making phone calls, and developing business, while going out to deliver goods as a driver is already considered extremely hard work. No one else works as hard as her son.

2. All the money the company earns is taken for private use, squandering, entertainment, buying houses, and buying cars.

3. Employees are squeezed dry whenever possible. Even when understaffed, employees must take on the work of those who have resigned. The proportion of their own work is effectively reduced to zero; they only need to do manual packaging every day, which makes the boss think they are very diligent, ambitious, and hardworking. Anyone using a computer is considered to be slacking off and contributing nothing.

4. The son is a mama’s boy and a puppet who only listens to what his mother says because whatever his mother says is treated as an imperial edict. Although the son has gotten angry before, he basically still follows what his mother says. Whenever possible, he shifts responsibility, often dumping problems on supervisors and employees when matters are already at the last minute, leaving employees scrambling to deal with the mess.

5. The old lady boss always thinks she is the most capable, the most pioneering, the original founder, and the fastest. She always claims to be the first, oblivious to how much the outside world has already advanced and evolved, while she remains stuck in place. She thinks the most basic approach is the safest and believes her own changes are innovative. The point is that she was also driven out of her family’s pharmaceutical factory because she did too many terrible things and misappropriated money, yet she constantly shows off her family’s pharmaceutical factory to others and boasts about how much she reformed it and how much she did for her younger brother.

6. The company has no strategy, operational planning, or progress schedule. Even work and timelines that employees arrange themselves may be disrupted or canceled because the progress made is always held up by the son’s failure to make decisions. Things then sit there until nothing is done. Sometimes the old lady remembers them and wants to restart them, treating them as extremely urgent, and in the end all the mistakes become your problem.

7. Staffing is tight, with one person doing multiple jobs and repeated rework. Work is broken down and distributed unevenly, and they are stingy about raises. However, they especially like people who flatter them, shirk responsibilities, do not work, or casually push tasks away; people who seriously do their jobs are always criticized and badmouthed privately.

8. You will see two types of people: those who work seriously and do not talk much, and those who always turn their social skills all the way up in front of supervisors/the boss, loudly claiming how tired, hardworking, and serious they are.

9. No matter how much effort you put in, it will not get through to the old female boss, because she will find all kinds of excuses to fire you on the spot. She hates slow people most, yet the slowest person in the entire company is her useless son.

10. They always only want to receive benefits for free. When it comes to contributing money, they act as if their lives are at stake. Yet every decision they make shocks employees because their thoughts and actions reflect the narrow-minded thinking of traditional small and medium-sized business owners, with no visibility or broad vision. They only covet small bargains and earn tiny margins. The longer you work there, the more you feel your competitiveness gradually being depleted and your enthusiasm burning out.

【Think carefully, because you cannot see a future there. People who think too highly of themselves and do not know how to adapt will soon be eliminated by society.】
