Cons

1. I clearly interviewed for a telemarketing position (and Cheng Tsai had actually invited me to apply proactively), but when I arrived for the interview, they inexplicably switched it to an outside sales position.

2. The job posting on 104 made it sound great, saying 【You’ll still be paid even if you have no sales】. But when I arrived and found out the details, I learned that if you failed to reach NT$50,000 in sales during your first month, they would tell you to get lost. If they’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, why write it to make it seem like they take such good care of newcomers? 🙄

3. Before officially joining, they even asked interviewees to attend training first, and only reimbursed you for the training after you had been employed for a month (they didn’t even say how much they would reimburse). In other words, if you’re someone who gets kicked out before completing a month, you have to eat the cost of the time you spent beforehand yourself. >_O Kiss kiss

4. The interviewer was very proud that all the company’s sales staff are young people in their twenties. But looking at it another way, doesn’t that mean it’s a company that experienced veterans—people who have been working in the real world for several years—are unwilling to join? 🙄

5. Following up on the previous point: when I asked how many sales positions they were hiring, the interviewer actually replied that there was no limit, then started feeding me grand promises and having me imagine the company opening locations all over Taiwan, blah blah blah. Heh... if this isn’t a disposable-chopsticks company, then what is?

6. The benefits and compensation listed on 104 were made to sound incredibly attractive and were described in great detail. When I asked about the company’s benefits and compensation, the interviewer only replied: “Everything follows the Labor Standards Act.” 🙄

It’s hilarious—what happened to the promised prize drawings? The weekly bonuses, quarterly bonuses, new-opening bonuses, 7-Eleven gift vouchers, and contest prizes? They didn’t even mention the supposedly once-a-week recreational outings for coffee. It’s really hard to believe this company’s benefits are actually as good as they made them sound on 104. 🙄
