Network Department:
1. If you’re lucky, there may be an overseas employee trip.
2. No bonuses at the three major holidays, but gift boxes are provided.
3. There are occasional small bonuses (some analysts even give out red envelopes themselves).
4. Afternoon tea is provided on the last day of every month.
5. Unlike other companies that take one or two days off for the Lunar New Year, because the stock market is closed, and make-up workdays are also unnecessary because the market is not open, there usually isn’t much to do at the company on those days.
1. The company does not fully comply with the Labor Standards Act. During busy periods, there is no limit on overtime hours; working an additional 4–6 hours in a day is possible. Overtime cannot be converted into overtime pay, only compensatory leave, and if it is not used within the same year, it disappears entirely.
2. Employees who are not analysts, researchers, or sales staff are all categorized as administrative personnel. This includes graphic designers, marketing staff, post-production staff, and directors. They are the least valued group in the company, and their professional expertise is not respected.
3. Many of the instructors have very bad tempers. If your work does not meet their standards, they will berate you relentlessly. Some also require you to work after hours or on holidays, without caring whether you are resting or on leave.
4. In some departments or positions, supervisors will claim that the job is based on a “responsibility system,” but without signing a contract or reporting it to the competent authorities, they expect you to remain on standby at all times while also preventing you from claiming overtime.
5. The company uses pirated Adobe software, and work is often interrupted when the system forcibly closes the program. This has been reported multiple times, and software quotations have also been provided, but there has been no follow-up.
6. They say there will be salary adjustments, but three months, six months, and a year have passed without any adjustment.
7. When colleagues leave, they are not replaced. The remaining employees work themselves to death and often have to work overtime.
8. If a department is urgently short-staffed, they may transfer someone whose duties are somewhat related to that department, and that person may never be transferred back.
