Pros

Meals are provided, and there is also a lunch break.

Flexible working hours.

Starting at 7:00 means you can leave at 4:00.

Starting at 9:00 means you have to leave at 6:00.

The company in Sanxia has a parking lot.

Cons

Sanxia’s Dabu area is very desolate.

The only food available may be from the nearby 7-Eleven.

If you want to eat anything else, you can only order delivery.

The company’s operations are poor, so there will be no year-end bonus this year, yet performance evaluations are still being conducted—what is that about? The upper management does not want to pay severance, so they resort to every possible means to force lower-level employees to leave. Internally, they claim to want to save money but use all kinds of bizarre, stingy cost-cutting methods. Instead of doing this, they should stop sending so many people abroad to do meaningless things and quickly find ways to develop the company in a better direction, rather than constantly wasting money. They should be taking care of every employee.

Typhoon days are indeed days off, but the company has a pile of ridiculous issues. Supervisors instruct employees to submit reports on workdays—isn’t that blatantly telling employees to work from home? Then the company says there is no mandatory requirement to work from home, but that progress must reach a certain standard? The software groups downloaded onto everyone’s phones contain date records. Any tasks instructed by the boss outside working hours count as overtime, yet the company turns a blind eye and does not pay overtime. Their attitude is basically, “Go ahead and sue us.”

The boss is often inconsistent and contradictory, telling subordinates to do something and then telling them not to do it that way. No matter how it is done, the boss is never satisfied. It is just like an internet meme in which the boss makes ten requests and is dissatisfied with all of them, only to decide to use the first version after all. Isn’t that just wasting time and doing unnecessary work?

The supervisor is extremely emotional. Do you really enjoy constantly belittling employees? Be careful—you may end up being retaliated against by employees. The supervisor sometimes leaves early as well, yet when employees want to leave early, they are instead subjected to sarcastic remarks. What is going on? Isn’t leaving work at the normal time the right thing to do? How has it somehow become illegal? Internal power struggles among supervisors are all pushed onto lower-level employees to handle. If they want to fight, why don’t they just confront each other and make things clear?

Even when trying to take annual leave, employees are mocked with comments like, “Where are you going to have fun?” And the leave may not even be approved. Even if annual leave is granted, it does not feel like time off, because the company calls and keeps sending messages through communication apps. If you do not handle them, the boss will say, “Why aren’t you responding?” The same applies to sick leave and personal leave. Can’t employees be allowed to take a proper break?

There are an enormous number of miscellaneous and ridiculous tasks. No matter how many mistakes are made, the factory personnel are never disciplined. Apparently, everything is Taiwan’s fault.

Everyone can see what the supervisor is doing; they just have not yet publicly reported it using video recordings, audio recordings, and screenshots.

If you are considering joining, please think carefully and compare your options.
