Pros

I was applying for a food and beverage business supervisor position.

The interview process went very smoothly. We mainly used 104 to confirm a mutually convenient time first, and then, once the time was confirmed, they provided the interview address. After arriving at the hotel, I first checked in at the front desk.

There was a small incident: I took the MRT to the interview, but the train encountered a minor accident on the way and service was suspended for quite a while. I quickly used 104’s messaging function to let them know I would be late, and received a response immediately, which made me feel much more at ease! The interviewing supervisor was also understanding of the difficulties job seekers face~~ It was a good start to the job, at least showing that the supervisor was easy to communicate with!! Although having a sense of time and being punctual are important qualities, unexpected situations can sometimes arise along the way, so I still hope there can be some flexibility!

The questions asked by the interviewing supervisor were actually very ordinary and not tricky at all! They mainly wanted to confirm how I would plan to expand the food and beverage business and improve its performance if I had the opportunity to join the company!

They also asked about my previous work experience, especially my food-and-beverage-related experience at each stage of my career. This was considered one of my strengths, so I was able to get up to speed quickly~ However, I had had relatively little exposure to business development in the past, and the supervisor seemed somewhat dissatisfied with this point.

At the beginning of the interview, I was asked whether I wanted a cup of coffee. This was also a big plus, as it immediately helped reduce my nervousness~~

Cons

The job description on 104 was complete, but the salary was listed as negotiable, leaving out one indicator for judging whether the position was suitable for me. After all, salary is also an important reference when deciding whether a position is a good fit! However, many companies express it this way~~ As long as the salary is over 40,000, they can state it as negotiable~~ This leaves more room for imagination, but also creates more uncertainty~~
