The company gives employees quite a lot of flexibility and a high degree of freedom. The boss also has very strong professional knowledge and skills—he’s not the kind of person who only knows how to talk. Unfortunately, I had to go abroad for further study as part of my career planning, so I could only take a temporary leave. However, during my two years of employment, the boss really took good care of us. Although he is very easygoing and does not fuss over details, whenever we were at an evaluation, his professionalism truly overwhelmed all the competing companies!

Although the company is not large, the fundamentals you train in here become very solid. You get exposure to everything, from design, planning reports, budgeting, construction drawings, and construction supervision, to understanding construction details. I really like the emphasis here on being able to design work that can actually be built, rather than merely engaging in armchair theory—like those teachers at our school who only know how to talk about theory, producing things that are flashy but impractical.

The work atmosphere at the company is also quite good. It’s just that a few former colleagues really took advantage of the boss being far away and no one supervising them, and they violated the company’s systems and rules. After merely being nagged and reminded by the boss, they stormed out and then went around bad-mouthing the company.

The administrative systems have been established somewhat slowly, but it feels like the boss is making an effort. After all, he is professionally oriented rather than primarily management-oriented.
