I recently went for an interview and wanted to share my impressions.
Pros:
1. During the interview, the boss showed me the company’s portfolio. Many of the clients were well-known brands on the market, and the work looked quite professional. Most of it involved in-store displays, packaging, and similar projects. It felt like, if I had the opportunity to join, seeing my own work in stores would be quite fulfilling.
2. They mentioned that the company does not participate in competitive pitches, so employees do not waste time preparing proposals without compensation. I previously worked at a company where even internal projects involved competitive pitches, so I thought this was a nice point.
3. From what I heard, designers only need to do design work and are not expected to handle administrative paperwork or other miscellaneous tasks outside of design.
1. The company has quite a lot of projects, and if the workload is heavy, overtime may be necessary to finish them.
2. Overtime pay is provided, but you need to be willing to work overtime.
