I interviewed for a front-of-house junior management position in the food and beverage industry. The restaurant manager conducted the interview, which mainly focused on explaining the job responsibilities and the requirements for the position. After reviewing my past experience in the food and beverage industry, they briefly mentioned that my previous experience was primarily related to banquet halls, so I might need to spend some time learning the finer details of providing higher-priced Chinese dining services here.
They also confirmed my available start date, expected salary, and so on. The interview process was fairly smooth. At the beginning, they even asked whether I wanted some coffee, which made me feel pleasantly surprised.
They explained that employee meals are provided as boxed lunches, unlike my previous experience, where there was an employee cafeteria. Meal times are therefore more flexible, but based on my past experience, boxed lunches may sometimes not be provided on time.
When I asked about future promotions and salary adjustments for managers, I did not receive a clear answer at this point.
