1. Convenient commute
2. More time off
1. A pathetic Japanese-style corporate environment that is both exploitative and miserable, out of step with today's workplace standards, yet offering a low-paid life in return.
2. Most upper-level managers in each department are Japanese. They are fairly easy to get along with, and I have not encountered anyone particularly obnoxious. However, several of the Taiwanese managers are strange people; I have never encountered anyone so bizarre.
3. Taiwanese managers do not know how to respect people. They constantly make sarcastic remarks at others. They like watching subordinates put on an act, and they also enjoy being flattered and fawned over.
4. When requesting leave several months in advance, I was made things difficult for and even subjected to veiled threats. In such an inhumane company, all you willing slaves are welcome to come work here.
