益新企業股份有限公司
Pros

The interview takes place at the store, one-on-one with the store manager. It involves a very basic self-introduction, along with questions about your life, career plans, and so on.

This is a traditional Chinese medicine shop headquartered in Xinzhuang that is undergoing a second-generation transformation. Since the company was established relatively recently, there is still an opportunity to raise issues encountered at work with your supervisor, or suggest other areas for improvement in the business.

Whether anything actually changes is another matter.

Working hours are fixed, employee purchases receive a 20% discount, and conditions comply with the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

Extremely labor-intensive. You need to stand all day without being able to sit down. The owner's wife loves watching the surveillance cameras. The store is understaffed, and even when management staff are working, they will not be in the store. Days when inventory is being handled are also frequently scheduled as days off.

New employees do not receive commission on sales during their first three months. While other colleagues are handling their own work, they will ask new employees to help promote products on the sales floor. Under the guise of learning, new employees are effectively made to do extremely grueling work, but should not expect to receive sales bonuses. The salary is also disproportionate to the actual workload.

Stock arrives every week, and the vast majority of the logistics boxes contain dry goods from all over Taiwan and are very heavy, so you need to move them.

The HR department operates very slowly; applications can go unanswered for an entire week.

The store's marketing posters are extremely ugly, yet they are still put on display. When this is brought up, the response is that, due to printing-cost considerations, they will have to make do for now.

The warehouse where the headquarters ships orders is extremely small, and logistics boxes are stacked in cramped conditions. It is difficult to understand why the working environment is like this.
