The interviewer was fairly polite.

The interview happened to take place during the development period of a new IP mobile game.

For the first interview, I was required to submit a test assignment. The subject of the assignment was the main visual for the mobile game.

I had a fairly pleasant conversation with the interviewer during the first interview, but the company’s main business in Taiwan is outsourcing and agency services.

Actual operations are handled by the China branch, so a second interview by video with an employee from China had to be arranged.

Nearly a month passed between the first and second interviews.

Before the second interview, I was told that the style of my test assignment did not quite match what they needed and that my salary might be reduced.

There were not many questions in the second interview either. The employee from China handled it strictly as a business matter, and the conclusion was that I was not selected because I lacked sufficient experience in the industry.

However, after the mobile game was actually released, its style was not very different from that of the test assignment I created. Even when I showed it to other people, they said the styles were very similar.
