Pros

Of course, there are still some advantages. The new office is quite bright and attractive, and the company’s external image seems pretty good. Some of the products are genuinely quite tasty. The company offers some benefits, such as employee massages, yoga classes, and occasional snacks. If you really like staying at one company forever and don’t have too much of an independent will, this company might be a good fit for you >//////<

Cons

I’m not sure whether everyone feels the same way, but this is probably the worst company I’ve ever encountered~~Let me write down each point...

1. This company constantly brainwashes everyone with ideas about financial freedom, telling people that joining the franchise will definitely make them money. There are lots of strange quotes and slogans that make people feel quite burdened.

2. Employees are told to attend the funerals of unfamiliar shareholders’ family members or store employees.........

3. Employees are told to go to campaign rallies at election venues on weekends because the company has a very good relationship with Su Tseng-chang. They even said they would give everyone meal vouchers to thank them for their hard work. I don’t know whether that counts as disguised vote-buying, but in the end they didn’t give us anything anyway (*^^%#$%#^()(

4. It’s a very traditional Taiwanese company. Basically, as long as you obediently do whatever the boss says, you can steadily get promoted if you stay long enough. Those who don’t obey are usually disliked.

5. It’s not too bad for general employees, but the managers I encountered generally couldn’t stay for long because they had to meet with the boss too often.

6. Speaking of meetings, there are far too many meetings for managers to attend here, and most of them consist of listening to the boss give speeches.

7. The boss essentially has a very serious one-person-rule problem, but sometimes likes to create the impression that things are very democratic. It’s quite contradictory.

8. Professional expertise is not respected. Only things the boss considers good are good. Everything has to be done in a way that satisfies him before it is considered truly good, yet it is difficult for him to articulate anything particularly constructive.

9. You must identify with the company’s culture and systems to be considered a good employee. Those who defy them usually don’t have an easy time.

10. They always say that money isn’t a problem, but in the end, everything is abandoned because of money. Many things are merely a pipe dream.

11. The company has a morning-reading culture. Employees are expected to arrive half an hour early every day to read. They say it’s fine if you don’t come, but if you don’t, they calculate your attendance percentage. If it falls below a certain number, your performance review will be badly affected, which will impact your year-end bonus.

12. Everyone treats the chairman like a king. Everything requires a backup plan, and it doesn’t matter if employees work overtime in vain; everything is done to make the boss happy.

13. The company constantly emphasizes altruism, yet there are many selfish people who do things to achieve their own goals. These people have stayed here for a long time, and I don’t know whether they will remain until retirement. Be careful about this.

14. The boss emphasizes that he is a young person taking care of young people, but also seems to believe that since the company is giving you a job, you should be grateful. He says the company should develop deep roots in Taiwan and expand globally to become Taiwan’s pride, yet he keeps making very nouveau riche comments and behaving in a very nouveau riche way. Becoming international? That seems difficult.

15. The boss’s external and internal images are sometimes contradictory. Externally, he says that he respects people and multiculturalism, but internally, he doesn’t want to hire people who are obese or whose gender expression is unconventional.

16. I heard that someone in one department dyed their hair and was forced to dye it back, but when that person refused, they quit in anger XDDDDDDDDDDD

17. The company has a performance-review system, but even if a department manager gives someone an excellent rating, the boss may refuse to promote or give them a raise if he thinks they aren’t good enough or has some other reason.

18. If the company’s performance falls short of expectations, all budgets will be cut—but the definition of “expectations” is entirely up to the boss.

19. If a Saturday is designated as a makeup workday, the company requires everyone to take leave and not come to work. You must use your own annual leave, and if you want to come in to work, your request will not be approved without any valid reason.

There are also some minor things, as well as more confidential and embarrassing matters, that I won’t mention...
