1. When I arrived at the company entrance, the door was locked with an anti-theft lock. I called HR and asked her to come out and open it. She responded, “It wasn’t locked that tightly—why didn’t you try pushing it open yourself?”
2. I went to the meeting room and filled out the basic information form, but no one told me that after finishing, I was supposed to leave on my own and find someone elsewhere. I waited there for 40–50 minutes before HR finally came and said, “Oh, you already filled it out? I had no idea.”
2-1. As soon as the interviewer arrived, she immediately said, “Sir, after you finished filling out the form, why didn’t you take the initiative to come to the office and find me?” Ma’am, I’m not an internal employee of the company. I’m unfamiliar with the company’s layout, areas, and personnel assignments, and I had never met you before. How was I supposed to know whom to look for or where to find you?
2-2. The job description was presented hastily. When I asked about something I didn’t understand, she gave me a look as if I shouldn’t be questioning her, and did not seem interested in answering the candidate’s questions.
3. After the interview ended, I had to leave the office. Normally, a company would open the door and see a guest out, but the interviewer looked as if she was thinking, “Can’t you open the door yourself?”
If you’re going to be this impatient and don’t genuinely want to recruit people, then don’t recruit at all. You’re just wasting each other’s time.
