The only advantage is that full-time employees can work from home after three months (but supervisor approval is still required; if your supervisor happens to be someone who likes seeing you at all times, that’s another matter).
1. The salary is completely disproportionate to the workload and is also low compared with the industry average. In some teams, you may also face obstacles to promotions and raises.
2. Turnover is high and increasing year by year. Talent drain is severe, but the boss does not care. The boss treats employees as disposable and has no appreciation for talent at all. “If you don’t like it, you can leave” is the boss’s employment philosophy.
2. The owners are a married couple with distinctive personal religious beliefs. As a result, vegetarian food is served at year-end banquets, alcohol is prohibited, and they may even burn agarwood incense in the meeting room.
3. The organization is chaotic and HR is irresponsible, so training is far from adequate. (After working there for many years, I have mostly been relying on past experience, while also having to teach batch after batch of new hires like a machine.)
4. The company has an inexplicable obsession with new hires who have studied abroad, causing it to overlook the importance of other personality traits and abilities and resulting in an uneven team.
5. The benefits are poor: no employee trips, no travel subsidies, no birthday bonuses, and the bonuses for the three major holidays are laughably small. The monthly book allowance is only NT$300 and cannot be used to purchase any books for entertainment. The only benefit is the milk in the refrigerator, but the boss takes half of it away for themself first.
6. There is no system for team meals. If you want to organize one, you have to rely on each department supervisor to arrange it and come up with a pretext for reimbursement. Even the past social gatherings have been canceled and replaced with assemblies where employees eat vegetarian food while listening to the boss preach.
7. There are too many problems to list. Job seekers, be extremely cautious!
