1. Freedom and flexibility in work hours, with no required make-up workdays.
2. External DEI messaging promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
3. Abundant resources from the Dentsu Group.
4. A snack cabinet that always has the same cookies, plus fruit provided twice a week.
1. The department says overtime pay cannot be requested because staffing is sufficient; overtime is compensated only with time off in lieu. However, managers have not properly managed each employee’s workload, which is heavy and unevenly distributed. Some people have an easy workload, while those who work overtime are criticized for being inefficient, yet the managers never address the core issue.
2. The company has many long-serving managers and employees whose words carry significant weight and who act like buyers; some managers do not want to manage matters and only want to take extended vacations. New employees need to keep their eyes open and simply learn their way of doing things, because if you take your work too seriously, you may be criticized for causing trouble. You have to follow their pattern; otherwise, they may complain that you are creating problems for them. Internal communication is very difficult.
3. Managers verbally abuse employees in the open office and have repeatedly said things like, “I want to hit you.”
4. Managers do not take responsibility, fail to review WIP reports carefully, and do not provide assistance when employees need it, while also trying to shift all responsibility away from themselves. In addition, the group’s HR team lacks professionalism: instead of asking employees what happened, they join the managers in speaking recklessly to employees, psychologically manipulating them, and undermining their self-esteem (there is enough material here for an entire quotation book). There is absolutely no communication or guidance; they simply try to pressure employees into resigning. This company promotes DEI, but in practice it is a negative example—truly lamentable.
