I previously interviewed for an engineering position and felt very disrespected throughout the process. Regardless of my experience, background, or portfolio, they insisted on testing obscure knowledge that would never be used, and did not discuss anything else.
During the Q&A session, I asked about the job responsibilities and duties. Neither the interviewer nor the manager could provide any answers. They acted as if the position had been open year-round and that it was entirely up to you whether you wanted to come, and as if they would simply send you wherever there happened to be a staffing shortage.
