If there is one, it would have to be getting haunted.
Here is a ghost story
The beginning of the story:
This company is led by a cult leader and a group of cult servants who use all kinds of methods to remind you and pressure you to join the cult. If you do not join, you will be targeted and ostracized in every possible way. Their emotional management is extremely poor; emotional blackmail and PUA are part of the daily routine.
No overtime pay / no year-end bonus / no bonuses for the three major festivals / no company trips / no staff meals / no employee parking area
There is no respect—only the feeling that you are useless. Every benefit you can think of is completely absent here!
Being late will result in a deduction from your pay (calculated by the hour) / making a mistake will result in a deduction from your pay
You must respond to Line messages at all times, whether it is after work, during sleeping hours, while on vacation, or during leave.
Cult matters always take priority over company matters. Every week, everyone is forced to read scriptures and share their thoughts afterward.
It is strictly forbidden to mention zodiac signs, Chinese zodiac signs, or other religions (all are regarded as scams).
Those who have not joined the cult or are not members of the same cult are considered 【outsiders】. Only by joining the cult can you become 【one of us】 and receive the small benefits, such as being allowed to participate in cult activities during working hours while still receiving pay. 【Outsiders】 are not given access to such activities.
For 【one of us】, mistakes are not considered mistakes regardless of whether they made them. If 【outsiders】 make even the tiniest mistake, they will be berated mercilessly.
The daily routine of 【one of us】 is monitoring whether 【outsiders】 are working seriously, while they themselves can pretend to be busy or keep pointlessly busy and receive lavish praise from the cult leader.
The cult leader often preaches that everyone should have a sense of accountability: naturally, the responsibility is assigned to other people. Dodging problems, being afraid of problems, and avoiding work are part of the daily routine.
Employees are paid very little, and the cult leader will use all kinds of excuses to cut their pay, then proudly share the results with 【one of us】.
Employees’ salaries are underreported for tax purposes—all employees, continuously for many years.
Those who are disobedient, uncooperative, or insufficiently reverent toward the cult leader are forced out through all kinds of dirty tricks and petty tactics, without being given severance.
All kinds of methods are used to make sure you can never finish your work. Working until the middle of the night to finish it is part of the daily routine.
The work environment is old, disgusting, and full of unpleasant odors.
The cult leader’s family lives in the same building. There is a family member with a sour expression and no manners who orders employees around; family members who often get lost and wander around; and family members who come out and wander around for no reason, leaving everyone worried about whether they might fall. Are we here to work or to run a nursing home?
The cult leader’s house keeps getting bigger.
The cult leader’s cars keep getting more expensive.
