Colleagues and supervisors in every department are very nice, and the work atmosphere is good. Work pressure is not particularly high, and you can leave work on time. Strictly speaking, the job and colleagues are both very good!!! However, the company has little potential for development.
The company has cash flow problems and often receives collection calls from vendors, which is very troubling for employees. The company also rarely gives salary increases; even after working there for a long time, salaries hardly change. Business should have been doing well during the pandemic, but the year-end bonus was still only 0.5 months' salary.
The boss's preferences keep changing, and they often like to contradict the supervisors. Many capable and kind supervisors have ultimately been driven away by the boss, which is a shame. There is no consistent direction in decision-making. For example, when developing a new probiotic product, the person responsible changed from R&D to Business and then to Production. After more than two years of changes and delays, the product still has not been released. An internal consultant seems to have considerable power and can influence the boss's decisions. If displeased, they can dismiss employees at will, without any reason or evidence. Employees are also dismissed every year because of financial pressure; over the past few years, there have probably been 10 to 20 people.
There is also a secretary who appears to have a close relationship with the boss. Although she is not particularly capable and has no business experience, she was promoted directly to head of Business. However, the tasks she is responsible for are handled poorly, and every department has to help clean up after her. She can still continue to be promoted, which makes it clear that she has a good relationship with the boss.
