Pros

No, I honestly can't think of any. Perhaps it makes people appreciate the preciousness of life and realize they shouldn't waste time complaining about work.

The current work is going very well, but seeing how terribly designed this company currently is, they probably still can't find anyone.

Cons

1. The work environment is dirty and has a moldy smell. The work environment includes the office, warehouse, and other areas.

2. They did not mention during the interview that it was a family business.

3. Employees are required to bring their own laptops and software.

4. The supervisor really likes workplace PUA and, when out of the office, enjoys serving up motivational platitudes and talking about politics.

5. They promised to provide a computer for work, but never did so before I left. They even said I would have to share a computer with the supervisor.

6. When I asked whether taking leave would result in a pay deduction, they said no. When I left, they deducted my unused statutory annual leave.

7. I had to perform tasks outside the scope of my position, such as moving and checking goods, and helping deliver products to stores.

8. They did not provide a camera for taking photos, yet expected photos at the level of a DSLR.

9. The position I applied for was graphic design, but it also required photography, social media management, online store setup, moving and checking goods, accounting, risk assessment, and more. If I could drive, the supervisor even said they would have me make deliveries.

10. There were no holiday bonuses, year-end parties, spring banquets, or similar benefits. I only received my statutory annual leave before leaving after invoking the Labor Standards Act to pressure them; otherwise, they had no intention of providing it.

11. When I resigned, I was asked to leave early. When I said that was not allowed under the Labor Standards Act, the supervisor replied that they had a lawyer.

12. The supervisor likes to make grand promises and set unreasonable production KPIs, then use workplace PUA when they are not met.
