Stable salary, paid after the 10th of each month, including when it falls around a holiday. Year-end cleaning is okay, and you can leave work early.
I worked at Jianhe as a quality control engineer. I was very shocked when I first joined: there were no male full-time employees at all, only an intern and a senior colleague who had joined a few months before me. The highest-ranking supervisor was a section manager, along with a female clerical employee and a woman who was permanently stationed in the “three-dimensional world.”
There is no material classification system, so almost everything has to be inspected, sometimes even 100%. Instead of thinking about going out to correct the process, what is the point of inspecting things perfectly if abnormalities keep recurring? Large castings also have to be inspected, but there are no designed lifting holes, so the inspection risk is very high! In addition, the materials have no standards, and the drawings are only for reference. When you see the production line arguing with Purchasing, you will really be dumbfounded??! Isn’t it true that unless Quality Control says something is acceptable under a special approval, the item cannot be used? The suppliers’ process capability (CPK) is very poor. Your heart will feel exhausted after joining. Also, Purchasing will question Quality Control, which is another abnormal aspect.
There is a lot of inventory and absolutely no cost awareness. Maybe if there is nothing to buy, you just wait to be laid off; otherwise, they find things for you to do. Anyway, the boss seems to have plenty of money, right? Have they really never considered promoting lean, Toyota-style management?
The space planning is also problematic. The incoming inspection room should be next to the warehouse.
The production line also seems to lack an understanding of three-view drawings and processes, which is really exhausting....
This is a 40-year-old company that makes standard products, yet it keeps issuing ECNs, and the drawings are very difficult to read.... Anyone considering joining should think it over and over again. The salary is mediocre; I heard it is “stable” for your whole life.....
