春河劇團事業有限公司
Pros

1. Frequently travel to different cities and counties with the theater company; if you enjoy working away from home, you’ll quite enjoy it.

2. The work is simple and straightforward, and the coworkers are easy to get along with. As a first job after entering the workforce, it’s not bad.

3. The work environment is relatively comfortable. There’s a coffee machine, toilet paper, snacks, cookies, and so on—everything you’d expect is provided.

4. Lang-jie is very friendly toward employees and is a very good theater company director.

5. You can meet a lot of celebrities.

Cons

1. A certain supervisor once said something classic: “We’re in the service industry.” You often have to deal with the idiotic questions of difficult customers (and, of course, the supervisor is no different).

2. Irregular working hours that violate the Labor Standards Act, along with stolen work hours. I only recently realized that a lot of money had been deducted from my pay.

3. The pay is extremely low, while supervisors who do little work earn high salaries and spend all day taking credit for your achievements.

4. Whenever something goes wrong, it’s your fault. The supervisor is always right—but as long as you know how to flatter them, there won’t be a problem.

5. The supervisor treats this place like their own home. Their children will show up around you, and if you aren’t nice to them, prepare to get chewed out.

6. The boss and supervisor have extremely poor communication skills and often argue with each other. But apparently it isn’t their problem, because you can’t understand them when you talk to them either.

7. I often heard female coworkers say they had been harassed by the boss. When the #MeToo movement exploded previously, the supervisor joked, “Boss, you’d better be careful.” The boss actually replied, “It’s fine—I only harass people verbally.” What????

8. You have to clean the restroom and work environment yourself, while the supervisor stands nearby pretending not to see anything and does nothing.

9. You are often disturbed during your days off. If you raise an objection, you’ll be criticized in a meeting.

10. Meaningless meetings are held all the time, wasting everyone’s time.

11. Turnover is extremely high; roughly a new group of people is replaced every year. The supervisor and boss will take former employees into a small room and berate them as “strawberry generation” workers.

12. The boss does not respect professional expertise and very frequently falls out with people. As a result, the screenwriters and actors they work with are often only involved once, and the theater company’s reputation within the industry is exceptionally poor.

13. If you’re a newcomer, be prepared: you’ll be the next scapegoat.
