The boss occasionally feeds us good things.

The boss constantly changes decisions: something decided at the previous meeting will be denied at the next, with the boss asking, “When did I ever say that?” When you say you want to discuss a project, the boss always says they are unavailable. Even after asking two or three times, they still say they have no time, only to complain at the next meeting that you never approach them and are not proactive. The boss’s moods are unpredictable, and the company is often shrouded in a tense atmosphere. The most relaxed time at the company is when the boss is away on a business trip. The boss says one thing and does another. Verbally, they claim that regulations are the minimum standard and that they hold themselves to higher standards, but in practice they often take shortcuts. They say they do not require overtime, but verbally imply that you should stay late. If you do not come in on holidays, they say it is acceptable, but that it will affect your performance evaluation—and they do not pay overtime. They are overly possessive of their documents: the documents are never complete, and even when requested, they are not provided. They wait until a critical moment to say that you should have asked for them, making everything extremely inefficient.
