The work is very routine, so this is a suitable place to take it easy until retirement.
The boss does not like employees making mistakes and is emotional; they will keep bringing up the same issue repeatedly. Using mobile phones at work is prohibited. There is no internet and no ERP system. After completing one year, the year-end bonus starts at one month’s salary, but it is never adjusted—after ten years, it is still just one month. They say salaries will be adjusted, but when I asked colleagues who had worked there for more than ten years, they said they had only received one minor adjustment. The Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival bonuses are only NT$600 each, and the back-to-work red envelope is only NT$500. There is no lucky draw at the year-end banquet; people just eat a meal and then leave.
