華唐科技股份有限公司
Pros

1. There is a project-completion bonus

2. Little need for overtime

3. The supervisor communicates rationally about the work and does not interfere excessively

4. The work is straightforward

5. The company places importance on cleanliness; everyone spends the first half hour cleaning on Monday mornings

Cons

1. High employee turnover; apart from the supervisor, only one of the most senior employees has been there for nearly two years

2. Unclear policies and poor communication. If the company followed the Labor Standards Act, it would not be reported by former employees. Involving current employees and causing them trouble is meaningless. Policies are changed according to the company’s mood, while employees are expected to consider the company’s interests and accept adjustments. However, employees also need to protect their own rights. When changes to benefits harm those rights, it is impossible to simply agree and refrain from expressing opinions. The company seems to think employees are being too calculating and blindly demands that they make concessions. Blaming everything on employees is not a way to solve problems.

3. You should be able to accept Christianity to work here. The owner and the owner’s wife are devout Christians, and meetings always involve God and the Bible. Every employee has been asked whether they are married or dating. Christian employees are recommended as good potential partners because they supposedly will not get divorced. At the year-end banquet, the owner and his wife also participate in the raffle. I heard they only wanted to take part and would give any prizes they won to employees. However, when the owner’s wife won, she said that whoever wanted the prize should go to church and be baptized with her. One of the grand prizes was for the winner to be surrounded by everyone while they sang hymns. A couple from the church was invited to give a speech at the year-end banquet for more than half an hour about how life is better through faith in God.

4. The rare benefits

Perfect-attendance bonus: There is no grace period for lateness. The company’s time clock is often inaccurate; if employees are required to be punctual, salaries should also be paid on time.

Monthly snacks: Adjusted according to the owner’s wishes—from a monthly budget of 2,000, to being canceled, to being changed to 1,500.

Massage chair: A benefit if you can finish your work and do not mind the supervisor and busy coworkers.

Project-completion bonus: It takes a long time for the company to receive payment after a project ends, so it is paid only once or twice within a year.

The above reflects my personal experience and impressions while employed, for reference.
