The workload is relatively manageable; once you finish your tasks, there generally aren’t too many additional demands. The bonus system is commission-based, and it’s not the kind where you receive nothing if you fail to meet your target.
This is truly an awful company run according to personal whims. In short, everything depends on what people say, and keeping the supervisor happy is the real focus of the job. I’ve heard all kinds of reasons people were forced to leave: making a typo in a work email, writing a number incorrectly, or failing to update figures in a report file. There are all sorts of bizarre reasons, and people can be told to leave that very day. Companies in southern Taiwan are really hard to describe.
