Pros

The experienced staff at the store I worked at were willing to teach newcomers.

Half of the reason was that they were tired of the work and wanted to delegate it to newcomers; the other half was that doing more work for low pay would not result in much more money, so why do more?

You won't get hassled by the store manager when requesting days off.

Compared with my previous job at Sunfar, the work environment was genuinely relaxed and pleasant.

If this is your first job, you can give it a try, but don't stay too long.

Just treat it as a way to gain some basic sales experience.

Cons

1. There is no formal employee training.

The store manager teaches one way, experienced employee B teaches another, and experienced employee C teaches yet another.

They all say that the others' methods will cause problems.

2. Taking inventory and changing prices every day is a waste of time. In particular, when changing prices, you have to remember the dates when the special prices for those products end. When the time comes, you have to remove them from the system yourself; the system will not bring them up automatically.

3. The front- and back-end systems are very cumbersome and their logic is not very well designed. Sometimes the main categories and subcategories are unrelated. Clicking the wrong thing or pressing repeatedly can cause the system to crash and require a restart. You also have to keep an eye on the products customers have ordered every day. When goods are checked in, the system does not indicate whether they are customer-ordered items. If they are not picked in time, other colleagues who do not know about the orders may put them on the shelves for sale. Returns and exchanges cannot be completed in a single operation from the front end; you have to switch repeatedly between the front and back ends to finish the process.

4. The employee onboarding exam asks what the chairman looks like. I'm not sure what knowing what the chairman looks like has to do with sales or work efficiency.
