The company's interior is dim and messy. Working hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (If I had known the hours were like this from the beginning, I wouldn't have gone there at all.)
This is a company founded by an R&D-oriented boss. The boss has no interest in developing marketing and only wants to quickly find distributors to sell the products and make money.
The boss speaks very quickly and leaves no opening for people to interrupt. You have to quickly seize an opening and cut in.
The starting salary for sales staff is very low—NT$33,000 (nearly 20 years ago, my starting salary in sales was NT$32,000).
You have to visit clients by scooter, and the maximum reimbursement for fuel is NT$2,000 (oh my goodness).
Postscript: When looking for a sales-related job, you should find out whether the boss started out in sales.
The logic is completely incompatible. The company does not want to develop marketing gradually and build brand recognition; it only wants to sell quickly and make money.
