The company was very small. At the time of the interview, there were only four people, and by the time I went for the interview, they had all already resigned.
The boss was an older man. During the interview, he was basically conducting a background investigation, wasting two hours of my time. He asked about everything in great detail. If I hadn’t had another interview scheduled afterward, he wouldn’t have let me leave. This boss was also very good at making grand promises. He said he might hire me, which I knew really meant it was impossible. I had also arranged other interviews. After I asked him several times, he said that if I hadn’t found a job, could he have another chance. But when I called back for the third time, he said he would contact me again, and then I never heard anything further. If he didn’t want to hire me, he could have just said so directly. Why beat around the bush, give someone hope, and then leave them disappointed like this?
