Pros

(Introduction) I applied for the 【Amazon Cross-Border E-Commerce】 junior assistant position. Job responsibilities: 【Job Responsibilities】

- 10% Photoshop image editing skills - 20% promotional document revisions - 60% social media management: willingness to use ChatGPT to generate English posts

- 5% communication with external collaborators (if needed) - 5% other tasks assigned by supervisors

That’s all.

I am looking for work related to graphic design and have also worked as a social media assistant before, so I believe I can handle the responsibilities based on the job description.

1. The office environment is quite good and feels like it has been renovated.

2. Before the interview, they provide an electronic form to fill in basic information, which can help reduce interview time.

3. There is an internal organization and structure. It feels like the company has recently reorganized its internal structure.

4. The HR representative was very friendly. If I were hired, I would choose the company entirely because of HR’s friendly attitude (lol).

5. The company has recently been expanding, and many seats are still waiting for new employees to fill them. In two offices, the new desks had not even arrived yet.

Cons

1. The interview lasted about 1.5–2 hours. It began with a computer-based test, including Chinese and English typing; a basic speed was sufficient, and an exceptionally fast speed was not required. There was also an English reading test. In addition, there was a test that completely stunned me: Google Sheets. Strictly speaking, the company only tested basic functions, but since the content was completely unrelated to graphic design and the relevant test scope had not been mentioned before the interview, it was somewhat challenging. The rest was a supervisor interview, during which they asked many basic questions, such as why I chose the company, a self-introduction, and whether I had done anything memorable in my previous jobs. Those interested in applying should prepare accordingly.

2. The office atmosphere was low-spirited. It was already past 12 noon, but I did not see anyone getting up to eat. Of course, perhaps their lunch break starts at 12:30.

3. There are relatively few restaurants near the company, and the area has more office buildings. At 12:02 p.m., the convenience store was already packed with office workers waiting to check out, which may shorten the lunch break (?).

Summary: Those interested in taking on the challenge can still go to the interview to see the job responsibilities and environment. Other positions at the company start at NT$33,000, which shows reasonable sincerity. You can also boldly state your desired salary and give it a try. Although I received a rejection notice two weeks later saying that the position had been filled, the job posting is still listed above (????
