① Flexible working hours (though recently they’re all going to be changed^^)
② Young, easygoing coworkers (but they’re all almost gone now)
③ The company looks like it has some “jewel on the outside” (but it’s rotten on the inside)
④ Employee discounts
❶ The company’s turnover rate is explosively high. The content editor can change nine times in a year, and the marketing manager can change three times in a year; generally, people don’t stay for more than a year😉
❷ There is a complete lack of staff, and they don’t recruit either (the salaries offered are extremely low, so maybe no one wants to come)
❸ I suspect there are financial problems at the company (just look at the financial statements—they’re all losing money)
❹ Upper management is terrible at judging people, putting incapable people in managerial positions. They have no decision-making ability whatsoever, and simply change whatever the new manager says
❺ The boss is emotionally unstable and may slam the table and yell at you in the middle of a meeting (afterward, they’ll tell others that they were merely trying to use this intense approach to force you to speak your mind^^)
❻ Employees work themselves to death with overtime, while their salaries don’t increase at all
❼ One person does the work of two or three people, and they still complain that your efficiency is too low
❽ The only advantage when I first joined—the “flexible working hours”—is also about to be removed. Everyone is being required to clock in when starting work but work on a “personal responsibility” basis when leaving
❾ Decisions change from one moment to the next. They’ll tell you before you leave work the day before an event is announced that everything needs to be heavily revised, making you do a hundred rounds of pointless work👍
❿ The marketing manager knows nothing about social media or marketing and only knows how to hold meetings. After being here for quite a while, they still don’t know what this e-commerce company actually does
⓫ It’s the kind of stupid company that tells you, “We’re one big little family,” and even implements “employee peer evaluations.” The peer evaluations affect the year-end performance review^^
⓬ During the hiring interview, they’ll tell you that the company has a performance bonus system. According to a coworker who stayed for a year, even after generating over ten million in sales, they never received any~
⓭ Even late at night after work, the boss will send you more than 20 messages~expecting you to be on call at all times~
⓮ There has been a case where a former manager sexually harassed a coworker. When it was reported to upper management, they pretended not to know about it
⓯ It’s basically a factory for manufacturing empty promises~The sneakers aren’t selling well, inventory is exploding, and then suddenly they tell you they want to start a pet e-commerce business~
⓰ Office politics (even a company with only a dozen or so people can have politics 👍)
Upper management has a favored manager. If you report that this person hasn’t done their work properly, they will defend them to the bitter end. This person bullied coworkers until they resigned, and upper management didn’t care at all!
⓱ As ❿ says, the manager can’t do anything, yet still wants to change the company’s systems, adding meaningless procedures and affecting everyone’s work, then claiming they’re helping everyone (but they can’t handle purchasing, social media, or marketing, and even the website—which they claim to be very good at making—has been turned into a complete mess)
⓲ When the manager wants to change the system, they threaten coworkers by saying, “If you don’t want to accept it, then maybe you should consider resigning” (So friendly~)
If you like empty promises, being yelled at, spending eight hours a day at the company while being dragged into meetings for half the day and unable to finish your own work, doing pointless work, and suddenly having two or three times as much work to do after joining,
then you’ll definitely gain a lot by coming here~
