托福實業股份有限公司
Pros

After being there for just over two months, I was told that I was being laid off. They then handed me a voluntary resignation form with my name already printed on it and asked me to sign it, repeatedly emphasizing that it was not my fault but that the company’s operating conditions were poor (which was indeed the case based on the results discussed at monthly meetings: during the worst half-month period, one team generated only US$90,000 in sales, there was nothing to do every day, and we were required to take at least two days of unpaid leave each month).

When I objected, saying, “I’m not resigning voluntarily; I’m being laid off,” I was asked to go to a meeting room to face three supervisors. The three supervisors tried every possible way to brainwash me into believing that this was not a redundancy dismissal. They made veiled threats, saying that being laid off would look worse when applying for jobs afterward, effectively pressuring employees into signing voluntary resignations, while repeatedly emphasizing that the company had already treated me very well.

Overall, this is a company with very poor upper management. Once you join, you have to learn a great deal—an enormous amount—about screws. Quotations and pricing are basically always handled in English, and you also need to be very familiar with identifying screw assemblies from technical drawings. They will pressure you to leave by making you sign a voluntary resignation. Even having a recording is useless; from the moment you are forced to sign, it is no longer useful.

Cons

The entire company revolves around the general manager’s mood. Based on my personal experience, this place is beyond saving.
