明台產物保險股份有限公司
Pros

Beautiful on the outside, S headquarters

Cons

1. Overtime approval involves endless questioning, and employees are asked to take compensatory leave instead of receiving overtime pay whenever possible.

2. Different departments (teams) are each pursuing their own interests and lack cohesion. “One Ming-Tai” is merely a slogan. Team collaboration is inefficient; people shift blame when problems arise, focus on people rather than issues, and apply double standards everywhere. IFRS is a classic example that exposes this.

3. A number of employees with no ability have held deputy manager-level positions for years. Their work capabilities are inferior to those of senior specialists, yet there is no sign of underqualified deputy managers being dismissed or demoted. The same applies to some managers.

4. The pay raise is so low that it is laughable. Anyone considering an interview should think carefully about whether an annual raise of less than NTD 600 meets their expectations—it is downright insulting to employees. KPIs have also been unfair for years. You can be harshly criticized by other departments yet receive good performance ratings year after year; you can work yourself to the bone and sacrifice your health, only to be transferred to another department. Pathetic!

5. System problems are becoming more and more frequent, the quality of outsourced vendors is getting worse and worse, and project after project is delayed. Endless, pointless project meetings waste employees’ time and even cut into lunch breaks. What is the point of gathering a group of managers, team leaders, team members, and vendors for meetings lasting more than an hour and a half? Can’t you let frontline employees get their work done properly?
