Every month, when it’s time for the sales meeting, be prepared to have only ten minutes to eat your boxed lunch that day.
You can’t bring a computer to the meeting; you can only sit there spacing out while being questioned about a bunch of things, like in a courtroom. Each salesperson has dozens of clients, and you’re expected to remember all the details about them like a prodigy. You also have to divine when a client will place an order and whether the order volume will increase next month.
You spend all day doing a bunch of useless surveys and writing a bunch of useless reports, so you don’t even need to visit clients anymore.
Reports are just for appeasing people, but be careful—if you submit one late, you’ll be punished.
