Working hours are relatively stable. I recommend applying to system-level or above positions, or software-related departments; I genuinely do not recommend the other departments. There are fewer rigid rules and less of a complete structure, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage. It is suitable for young people who enjoy a culture of boldly venturing into the unknown.
The staff and managers in board-related departments tend to have more of a Taiwanese-manufacturing-company culture, and political issues are noticeably present, especially in the board verification departments in the Bade area. I recommend looking for managers who have studied or worked overseas; their thinking tends to be more like that of multinational companies, and the team atmosphere is usually better. The benefits are not particularly good compared with those at other companies, and promotions are not transparent. Every department, or every area under management, has entrenched long-time power holders who never seem to fade away… you know what I mean.
