I can't think of any advantages.
At the very beginning of the interview, they asked whether I knew English terminology related to international trade. The interviewer was very hung up on why I didn't continue working at my previous company despite it having a large number of employees.
The job requirements stated that applicants from any field were welcome, but during the in-person interview they said they were looking for candidates with an international trade-related background. This is understandable, but it was a waste of both parties' time.
I directly asked the interviewer, “So, are you looking for someone with experience?” The interviewer replied, “Uh, not exactly. It's just that things move very quickly nowadays, so we might not be able to wait for you to learn.”
