The department manager for a certain foreign language looked utterly world-weary. Recently, they didn’t even introduce themselves or read my résumé.

They asked a barrage of questions with a weary expression, which felt really rude.

Treating a job candidate they were meeting for the first time with this kind of attitude makes me think that even if I joined, I wouldn’t be able to stay long.

There is always a segment at the end of an interview where the candidate can ask questions.

I simply wanted to hear the manager’s thoughts and opinions on something that had come up during the interview.

Who would have thought that when I asked, they would reply disdainfully and arrogantly, “Are you interviewing me now?”

Seriously, what the heck????
