AMERICAN EAGLE INSTITUTE _弋果文化事業股份有限公司
Pros

Compared with cram schools in general, I personally feel that the company's internal systems are already quite comprehensive. Although there are still some minor shortcomings, considering my own experience and what colleagues in the same industry have shared, YK Education already has a well-established system. Full-time employees receive basic labor rights and benefits, with a five-day workweek (except for occasional special events scheduled on holidays). All classes here are taught by foreign teachers. Like the children, we work in an immersive English environment, which helps improve our English communication and listening skills, among others.

I work as an administrative staff member and Chinese-speaking teacher at a branch in East District, Tainan (the same owner as the Yongkang District branch). There are many course-related activities mandated by headquarters, as well as many competitions initiated by headquarters itself, so naturally there is also a lot of related administrative work. However, the colleagues have a strong sense of teamwork and know how to support one another, so the working atmosphere is very harmonious.

The director is fairly straightforward, but does not make people feel uncomfortable during communication. The director places high demands on work efficiency and quality, seeks innovation and change, and clearly points out our problems or states their own opinions and requirements. The executive assistant also does their best to help everyone communicate and achieve work goals. Although there are inevitably occasional communication blind spots or minor friction, both the director and the executive assistant patiently listen to our thoughts.

Cons

There is a shortage of staff, possibly because recruitment is difficult as the salary is genuinely not high compared with some others in the same industry. Part-time employees are covered by group insurance, but do not have labor or health insurance, so this is something to consider carefully. The job operates under a responsibility-based system, with no overtime pay, so you need to improve your efficiency as much as possible and leave work on time.
