During the first-round interview, the HR representative was very courteous and did not make me feel pressured.

I submitted my resume one day, and then, more than a month later, they suddenly contacted me.

They originally said we would have an online interview the next day, but then I heard nothing. I was quite upset.

Two days later, they called to reschedule. I thought, fine, I might as well give it a try.

At the end of the first-round interview, they told me they would arrange a second interview and additionally mentioned that there was a more suitable position for me to consider.

Afterward, I declined and said I hoped to proceed with the original position I had interviewed for. HR also said they would keep the original position and continue the process.

And then there was nothing. Honestly, if I wasn't suitable or you actually wanted to recruit for another position, just say so directly. Don't waste both your time and mine.

Could you please be less casual about this? Or is this just a case of bait and switch?
