1. The on-site teams are led by a bunch of old-timers, and their overall abilities are inadequate. They muddle through and slack off by relying on connections, making communication difficult. They think they are very capable while meddling in planning and creativity, and use their own methods to direct and boss you around—even Grandma would be better than you. They only know how to issue orders and commission you to produce things, refuse to be reasonable, and make it so your work is never finished. They also often say to you, “Why can’t you do it? Why didn’t you ask first?” But when you do ask, they tell you, “Did you research this issue first? Didn’t I already tell you? Haven’t I mentioned it before?”

2. Hardly anyone applies to this company through job banks, so they proactively seek people out for interviews. Once they win a project, things are not merely bad—they get worse; they keep switching around among the same few companies. They simply treat engineers like disposable goods: when there is work, the people disappear and no one coordinates; when there is nothing to do, a bunch of strangers come out to defend them. I was stubborn and fooled by appearances, so I failed to compare things properly and ended up in a dilemma. Every day feels incredibly bleak; even fortune-tellers say I’m taking a huge loss.
