The pay is a little higher than elsewhere.

After three months of perfect attendance, you get NT$1,500.

There is a very large Golden Retriever and some kittens in the office.

There is fur everywhere, so people with allergies are not recommended to work here.

There are many downsides, but this is what I find hardest to accept:

As the owner of a pet store, the owner’s own dogs are almost always taken care of by the employees.

The owner only takes the dogs home at night.

The next morning, the owner brings them back and tells the employees to walk them, clean up after them, groom them—everything. If the dogs are not walked properly, the employees even get yelled at.

Yet the owner—the dogs’ actual owner—only takes them home very late at night to spend the night.

During the entire day, they are left in the office for the employees to care for.

The cats that were taken in are also cared for by the employees.

If they are not looked after properly, employees may even be scolded by the owner or other senior employees.

Because that dog is very mischievous and loves biting things at random.

While working, we also have to keep an eye on what the dog is doing from time to time.

If you are too focused on your work and fail to notice the dog biting or eating things it should not,

those senior employees will scold you.

So while working, you also have to split your attention to keep an eye on that dog.

I honestly don’t know whether I came here to work or to be a dog babysitter, haha.
